Aero Force on

I have since found I can force it back on from a cmd prompt (I assume I can do same thing from the Windows services.msc) but from a cmd prompt if I do:
net stop uxsms

and then restart with:

net start uxsms

Aero runs under Notes 8. I guess at least until the next time I reboot or restart Notes 8.
